If John McCain were a former president of the Harvard Law Review; and Barack Obama had finished fifth from the bottom of his graduating class…
If McCain had only married once; and Obama were the divorcee…
If Obama were the candidate who had left his first wife after a severe, disfiguring car accident, when she no longer measured up to his standards…
If Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair with her while he was still married…
If Cindy McCain had graduated from Harvard; and Michelle Obama were the wife who not only became addicted to pain killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization…
If the Obamas had paraded five children across a stage, including a three month old infant and an unwed, pregnant, teenage daughter…
Here’s how much respect the powers-that-be truly have for our rights and constitutional protections – even for those who have served and sacrificed the most to protect and defend those very rights! – once they’re back here in the Land of the Fried and Home of the Bruised:

Urgent Call to Action! Contact Obama Campaign and DNC, Demand Action to Stop Illegal Voter Purges
Our colleagues at The BRAD BLOG have recently blogged about a CBS Evening News report on illegal voter purges going on in at least 19 states, including key battleground states. Scores of thousands of voters have been purged from the rolls.
Watch the report for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRfJtnfQDgg
As explained by CBS News, these secret voter purges are illegal. A report by the non-partisan Brennan Center for Justice explains that under the National Voter Registration Act, it’s illegal to conduct systematic voter purges within 90 days of a federal election.
This misadministration’s loyal, snakeskin-bootlicking minions are oh-so-busy keeping us safe from dangerously compassionate nuns and grandmas with butter knives; routing our private phone calls through secret rooms; preparing to read our brainwaves, knock us to the ground, and throw us into camps or psych wards – but never fear! The folks in Denver and St. Paul found the time to keep us safe from *us* too.
Since Rachel and Keith were stuck at the table, few in (our worse than worthless) corporate media were left to cover what was happening *outside* the hallowed halls of Campaigns Central, and those few who tried were duly rewarded punished.
It warms wrenches my heart to hear that law enforcement in Denver arrested a major TV network producer for trespassing *on a public sidewalk* [thanks for trying, dood!], that one of those pesky little CodePink women was bashed to the ground by the big bad he-man, and that cops entrapped and whupped on peaceful protestors.
